Simba Paka Safaris

Vastly exceeded my expectations. Paul was a fantastic guide: knowledge, kind, patient, flexible, and accommodating, and he did an amazing job setting us up for great photos. I had four days in Kenya after a work trip and wasn't sure if I could fit a safari in, so I sent them an email, and they responded quickly with an itinerary that worked great for me, including picking me up from my hotel and dropping me off at the airport just before my flight out. I opted for the "mid-range luxury" option, and it was pretty luxurious, at least for the area. The service at the lodge was almost eerily attentive, and the swimming pool was delightful after dusty days in the Land Cruiser.

Paul and his team gave our group of 17 a great adventure! Took great care of us and were extremely flexible. Definitely will pass Paul's contact on to the group that will be traveling to Nairobi next year!

The 4 days(Maasai Mara and lake Nakuru)tour was really nice! Paul is very professional for any details and replied questions soon and well also his company’s people! Highly recommend and you can email first.

My husband and I met Paul Mwangi, who operates Simba Paka Safaris, in Nairobi in 2017. Paul helped us navigate Nairobi and its environs during our time there before and after the Fairmont safari we won in a charity auction. I met Paul in his Nairobi office. We discussed safari options. Paul answered all my questions , and I made the booking . Paul picked me up in the morning from my hotel. I was booked into the Mara Chui Lodge, which wasn’t the lodge advertised ,as it was fully booked. ,. But the Mara Chui Lodge did not disappoint. Helpful and friendly staff. Plenty of good food and hot drinks. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. John , the guide , driver and ranger , was very good , and we saw plenty of wildlife. John even made arrangements halfway back to Nairobi , for me to do a detour with another driver, to another destination. Solo traveler . November 2023.

10 stars! Very understanding and courteous. Price is great for what us offered. Definitely the best tour guide in Kenya. Highly recommended.

Pro - The driver I had was amazing. He knew all the best spots for seeing animals and he drove very smoothly - Their written communication via email is good. They always reply within a few hours in a clear way - You can basically join a tour any time, no need to reserve a week in advance Con - I’ve found the in-person communication to be not sincere, as I got overcharged on several small things and it feels like they’d take any opportunity to earn extra money from me - The agenda includes fixed time at shopping area (which didn’t notify us in advance), and people can easily feel forced to buy things if shopping becomes part of the agenda

WONDERFUL experience with Simba Paka Safaris. Mr. Paul was great to work with, and the trip was well-organized. Our guides shared really interesting facts about the wildlife that we were seeing, and kept the game drives entertaining. The stay at the Jambo Mara lodge was comfortable, and the food options were also good.
