A captivating blend of colours, music, tradition and life, Rajasthan has everything that a honeymooner would want from a destination. From vivant Chokhi Dhani, to tranquil Mount Abu, from ethnic Jodhpur to spiritual Pushkar; Rajasthan knows exactly how to turn your honeymoon into a truly cheerful outing for the two of you.

All major Indian cities are connected to Jaipur via buses and trains. Apart from that the five airports of the state are Sanganer, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, and Kota.

It's a good idea to stay in the hotel for the first day of your honeymoon in Rajasthan. You can fix your day one for a couple spa therapy. That will keep you fresh and will also prepare you for a fun-filled day two.

Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing

There could be nothing more interesting than an early morning trip to Amber Fort. Located outside the walled city, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful examples of Rajput forts. Don’t hesitate to hop on an elephant to reach the top of the hill where the fort is located. After a scrumptious lunch at an authentic Rajasthani restaurant, you can head straight to City Palace located in the heart of Jaipur and is famous for its perfect blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Another monument located near the City Palace that can’t be missed is Jantar Mantar which is the largest of all the five astronomical observatories built under the rule of Sawai Jai Singh-I.  Stop by at Hawa Mahal or at the Palace of Winds, a seven storied structure and one of the most pleasing landmarks built for the royal ladies to watch the grand processions without being visible to the people.

Then you should pretty much sum-up your sight-seeing with a perfect lounging at a bar or may be a simple candle light dinner. Or those of you who’re still energetic and wish to groove, head to ‘Chokhi Dhani’- dance, shop, eat, and have the time of your life!

Day 3 : Jaipur - Jodhpur (350 Kms, 7 Hours)

Reserve day three for Jodhpur and during the afternoon head straight to Mehrangarh Fort. The Fort is decked with long carved panels and windows with beautiful designs in red sandstone. Do click plenty of pictures here because you won’t find a more beautiful photography location in Jodhpur.

Jodhpur is all about being ethnic and colourful so when you’re here, you can’t miss out on anything that makes Rajasthan proud of Jodhpur. Sojati Gate is famous for Tie&Dye sarees, Station Road is popular for Embroidered shoes and utensils. If you wish to buy some handicrafts or fabrics, you must not miss the Tripolia bazaar. While in Jodhpur, you would definitely want to take home some lac bangles and you’ll get the best variety at Mochi Bazaar. And finally when you’re done with shopping; bid a good bye to an intoxicating day in Jodhpur with a serene and peaceful dinner.

Make your day four absolutely exciting and drive away from the hustle bustle of the city life. Say hello to Mount Abu. You’ve heard enough about this nice-little hill station in movies; it’s time now to see it live.

The day you arrive at Mount Abu, go straight to Nakki Lake, the two of you do need a good time together. As the dusk takes over, celebrate your togetherness at the Sun set point and then late evening, you can explore restaurants on the Mall Road.

Gear up for Udaipur on your Day Five. You can spend the evening relaxing in your hotel in Udaipur.

The city of lakes, Udaipur is a pleasant land around the blue water lake, edged by the plush hills of the Aravallis. Start your morning with a fresh visit to The City Palace and Museum which is considered to be largest palace compound in Rajasthan. You can then go to Jagdish Temple, built in 1651 AD. From there you can go to Saheliyon Ki Bari which is a patterned garden made especially for maiden princes to play. To keep your evenings light, take a lazy stroll along the town and the market area or simply enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola.

Day 7 : Udaipur - Pushkar (300 Kms, 6 Hours)

Drive to Pushkar on your Day seven. Covered by hills on three sides and sand dunes on the other, Pushkar makes way for a captivating location for sharing valuable moments of life with your special someone. Brahma Temple in Pushkar has a special place in Hindu mythology for it is the only Brahma Temple in India. Along with that the two of you can visit the Savitri temple located on the hill top. Though you are required to trek to reach the temple, it has an enchanting view of Pushkar Lake at dawn.

Since Pushkar will almost sum-up your honeymoon in Rajasthan, you’d definitely want to take home some souvenirs from here for your loved ones. The major shopping places here are Kedalganj Bazar, Malakhera Bazar and Sarafa bazar. Like any other shopping area, a bit of bargaining on the prices wouldn’t harm. Take home a variety of colourful beads, bangles, wall hangings or ethnic bags.

Have your breakfast at your hotel and depart with bags full of wonderful memories. If you are travelling by air, Jaipur Airport is 131 kms from Pushkar.
