By Air: The nearest airport, Hong Kong International airport in Chek Lap Kok, is approximately 31 km away from the main city. It's one of busiest airports and connects to all major cities across the world.

 

By Rail: Bullet trains are available from the station located on No. 9 Cheong Wan Road. This connects Hong Kong to all major mainland China cities like Guangzhou, Dongguan, Foshan Shanghai, and Beijing.

 

By Bus: There are frequent buses from all major mainland China cities to Hong Kong. Long distances buses are available from Guangdong province. However, it is advisable to take the bullet trains.

 

By Waterways: Macau and Zhuhai are the only two places connecting Hong Kong by waterways. High-speed Turbojets and Passenger transport boats ply on these routes.

Mid-December to February is the cool and pleasant winter and the busiest shopping season. October to early December is sunny, cool and pleasant and the most preferred season for tourism. This is the perfect time to catch Hong Kong's festivities.

 

May to September is summer. The temperature is high and the weather is humid and hot. Outdoor activities such as hiking and camping are popular in summers. Normal showers can be expected anytime between May to September, though August is the wettest month.
