Lal Tibba: Away from the crowds and clamour of Mussoorie's mall road, Lal Tibba lies in relative silence and serenity on top of the highest hill here. Acting as the base for many treacherous Uttarakhand treks, one mostly finds adventure lovers here. On a clear day, you can spot the distant snow clad Tibetan borders from Lal Tibba.

Visit Clouds End: Regarded as the most beautiful and scenic hilltop, Clouds End lives up to its name. It is spread over 2000 acres of lush green land and is all open to visitors. People often come here to find peace and to take nature trails.

Visit the Mussoorie Cemetry: Care for a little spooky? The Mussoorie cemetery is the perfect recipe for some goose-bump inducing moments. It's ancient, mossy and perched on the slopes of a slanting hill carefully guarded by the silence of Pine forests. Most of the graves belong to the British era and date back to the 1800s. Spend a quiet afternoon here watching the sun rays crawling down over the hills opposite. Maybe you can even share some ghost stories with your friends!

Even though you can shop at the Mall Road, it's better to head to Kurli Bazaar. It's not so far away, just walk to the end of the mall road. It is the second largest market here and is perpetually a busy spot. The Kurli Bazaar is a better place to shop since it has a wider range of options, more shops and even a few interesting eateries where you can seek replenishment after your shopping spree.

Mussoorie has a couple of eateries where you must eat. For breakfast head to Lovely Omelette Center. Located on mall road, it's a small joint specializing in omelets.

The quaint Little Llama Café serves continental food and the ambiance is nice and elegant. With a friendly staff, they manage to sell the best hot chocolate and iced teas in town; perfect stop for an evening snack.

For ambient eating, head to Landour Bakehouse. You'll love the 19th-century interiors and the elaborate menu inspired from the Landours cookbook. If you are a fan of the English breakfast, this is your place. Also, eat at Doma's Inn. It has a wonderful woody interior with plenty of windows for a bright and breezy feel. The menu is diverse and the staff friendly. If you are lucky you will find Ruskin Bond walking by outside. He lives just next door.
