The tiny but charming city of Pamplona continues to draw visitors from all over Spain, Europe and now even the rest of the world. A combination of the Mediterranean and Oceanic Climate pattern, Pamplona enjoys a relatively well-balanced weather throughout majority of the year. The best and most popular times to visit are unsurprisingly the spring and autumn seasons, where the temperature is just ideal for outdoor activities and exploring the ins and outs of the city. The summer is also popular for tourists, peaking during the San Fermin Festival in July. Winters are not favorable owing to the reduced temperature and high speed winds.

July is the biggest month of the year as it observes the annual San Fermin Festival taking place in the first week of the month. This draws thousands of visitors from all over to take in the sights and sounds of the city. Temperatures skyrocket to almost 40° C and visitors are strongly advised to come prepared with sunscreen and to dress appropriately. Bright skies and strong sunshine characterize most days and there is a definite cooling down that takes place post sunset. This season is not recommended for travel as the weather dips down to freezing levels and can often make Pamplona unbearable owing to the strong winds, low temperatures and cloudy skies that are also a feature of this season. The season also observes periodic rainfall which only adds to the wind chill and dampness giving the city quite a gloomy atmosphere.
