Pelling Weather And Best Time To Visit Pelling
Planning A Trip To Pelling? Here's a snapshot of Pelling weather and the best time to visit Pelling
Pelling is beautiful in all seasons. It looks lovely when it is dry, it looks awesome when it is raining, and it looks ethereal when it is snowing. Lush greenery, blue skies, beautiful landscapes – Pelling is inviting all year long. However, it can become a bit difficult to move around in the monsoon. And if you are traveling with family, it is best to stick to dry weather.
The best time to visit Pelling can be split into four distinct periods. Read on for the details.
Summer (March to May)

Snow has melted and temperatures begin to rise. You can see new life blooming as fresh vegetation sprouts everywhere. It is green and serene at this time; the days are pleasant, with daytime temperature hovering in the 20s. Nights are quite cool, especially in March. Light woolens are all you need during this time of the year. Also, this is the best season to enjoy a clear view of Mount Kanchenjunga.
Monsoon (July to September)

If you are the kind who does not like to move around in the rain, do not visit Pelling in the monsoons. Try to plan your visit after the trimester of July to September; particularly if you are traveling with your family. It rains hard, and landslides are frequent. But if you are the adventurous sort, who does not mind a good drenching, then do come, by all means. The rain has its own charm, and you get to see swollen waterfalls!
Autumn (October to November)

In autumn, clear blue skies greet you once again. The temperature ranges from 15 to 20 degrees. By November, however, the mercury starts falling again, and it can get increasingly cold. Despite that, October is considered to be a good month to visit Pelling, as clear skies mean a good view of the mountain peaks.
Winter (December to February)

By December, winter has swiftly descended upon the town of Pelling. It is cold. The temperatures fall and by December, they can plummet to below zero. In fact, they can even go down to -5 degrees. You will be greeted by snow. Again, this is not the season to visit with young children, especially if you are not used to the cold. But if you are the bold and adventurous kind, you will absolutely love Pelling in winter. Christmas in Pelling is something you will never forget. The snow-capped peaks will fascinate you and remain etched in your memory for a long time to come.
