Chittorgarh Weather And Best Time To Visit Chittorgarh
Planning A Trip To Chittorgarh? Here's a snapshot of Chittorgarh weather and the best time to visit Chittorgarh
Chittorgarh is a Rajasthani city, one that can be deemed as old as time, inherited its charm from the Mauryans to the Rajputs and right down to the Mewadis. The name Chittor reverberates and reminds one of Rani Padmini, as well as the love-sick Krishna-devotee Meera bai, making it a very coveted tourist destination. But, Chittorgarh being in the arid regions of Mewed, is not best visited during summers. So choose winter, when the weather here is marvellous.

Summers in Rajasthan are hot, obviously. And Chittorgarh is no different. With a temperature range of 23-43°C, you can expect very hot afternoons and relatively cool nights. But even the cool nights don’t make up for the scorching days, and there isn’t much you can do with the sun bearing so hard. There is the possibility of heat strokes, which keeps even the locals locked up in their homes. So not a good time.
Monsoon (June to September)

Mewad region of Rajasthan sees a wetter monsoon than the Marwad region, simply because of its closer vicinity to the Arabian Sea. Hence Chittorgarh sees some unexpected showers through the monsoon months. There is some greenery and the temperature might hold off from its high points during the rain. But post showers, the heat is unbearable. Even so, this is an okay time to visit.
