Brisbane has an extensive and very well connected public transport system. The public transport system is called TransLink and it has a detailed website which gives simple directions and route maps for first-time travellers in Brisbane. The integrated ticketing system is called the Go Card. The smart card can be used to purchase tickets or pay for your travel across all modes of public transport. Fares are calculated automatically on the Go Card.

If you’d like, you can also rent a bike to cycle around the city.
