Located quite close to the capital city of Raipur in Chhattisgarh is a city called Rajim, also known as the Prayag of Chhattisgarh. Also known to be the holiest place in the state, Rajim lies on the eastern banks of River Mahanadi. This holy place attracts pilgrims as well as archeologists and historians. Rajim is located in Gariaband district which is not too far from Raipur. Being close to the capital of the state, Rajim enjoys some perks too; you can easily reach the town by means of air, rail or even road. The fastest way to get to Rajim is by flight; you can take a flight to Swami Vivekananda International Airport in Raipur to reach Rajim. This is the closest airport and it is distanced at 42.7 km from the town and it will take you approximately 56 minutes to reach the center of Rajim. This airport is well equipped and has frequent flights from Raipur to other cities in the country as well as cities abroad. Several flight carriers like Indigo, Go Air, Emirates, Qatar Airways and many other operate flights from Raipur to other destinations. Once you get off at the airport, you can find several modes of transport to get to your destination in Rajim; some of them include cabs, busses and even share taxis.

Since Rajim is close to the capital city of Raipur, the roadways are well maintained and easy to drive on. You can take one of the several state highways or a national highway to get to this town. You can drive up here, which is always an enjoyable journey or you can take a bus that is run by the state government to reach this beautiful place. If you are coming adjacent states, you can even take a luxury bus that will take you on an overnight journey to the town of Rajim. Rajim is well connected to other important parts of state via well maintained highways that can be driven on quite easily.

One of the easiest ways to get to Rajim is by train. The town has a small railway station called Rajim Railway Station and it is located at a distance of 3.6 km from the center of the town. This is the closest railhead that serves the town of Rajim. But one must note that this railway station does not serve a lot of cities; the trains mostly come from Raipur Railway Station and therefore you would have to take a train to Raipur first and then take a connecting train to Rajim. Recently they have started sending out trains to fewer neighbouring cities inside and outside the state.

There are several ways to get around in Rajim. Since it is a religious place and a tourist hotspot, it goes without saying that transportation is always available. You can commute around the place by renting a taxi or an auto rickshaw depending upon the kind of journey you want. You can also take state run buses that are available until a certain time of the evening. Other than this, you can rent out a car and drive it yourself to move around the place or you can even hire a driver to drive your own car.
