Thanks to the efforts of Rajkot Municipal Corporation, getting around in Rajkot has become very convenient. They have restored the city bus service with the public-private partnership in 2007. Due to this, around 80 CNG buses are available under 15 to 20 routes in city and suburbs. Also, after the launch of Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) on October 1, 2012, along with 10-km long blue corridor, local bus service is greatly enhanced. A new city bus service named Rajkot Mass Transport Service (RMTS) has made life very easy for locals and travelers. Today, it operates with 90 buses on 44 routes.
Along with buses, Rajkot has an effective auto-rickshaw service operating around the clock within the city for quick hops. For visiting the neighboring tourist spots, private cab service is also available 24/7 and can cost you around INR 1000 for a day. If they ask more, bargain and win a deal.
