Konya, one of he oldest and most mystical Sufi city of Turkey, has a typical Mediterranean weather with hot summers and cold winters; though neither too extreme. You can visit Konya at any time of the year and fall in love with the city. If you are looking for a less crowded time of the year, Spring and Autumn are great. However, if you are looking for a cultural experience, the best time to visit Konya would be Winter, as it hosts a very mystical festival every year in December. Summers are great too, if you are looking for bright sunny weather.
Spring (March to May)

Spring is a lovely time of the year to visit Konya. It starts off cold and gets warmer towards the later months. The average daytime temperature is around 16°C with the nights getting colder. There is very little chance of rain. March is a slow tourist month while April and May the start to see some crowd- but it is still relatively less crowded compared to the summer months.
There aren't any popular annual festivals during this time, but look out for concerts and local performances. Many flowers bloom during this period which makes the city very vibrant.
Summer (June to August)

Summer is peak tourist season and the city can get quite crowded. The weather in Konya is not too hot, so it is still a pleasant time to visit. The average temperature is 25°C, with the nights becoming cooler at 10°C. No rain is expected during these months. The International Nasreddin Hodja Festival is something to look forward to in July every year. It's a major festival dedicated to a prominent name in Turkish literature.
Autumn (September to November)

Not a very busy time of the year but equally beautiful are the months of autumn or fall. In October you can expect an average daytime temperature of 20°C with a chilly blow of wind in the evenings. There is usually 2-3 cm rain per month during autumn, which is still quite less, and does not dampen the mood of the city. The Javelin Games, a Turkish sporting event, is usually held in September every year and is an exciting game played on horseback.
Winter (December to February)

Weather across Turkey can get quite cold during winter, and in Konya as well, the temperature can fall below 0°C in the winter months. A few days of snow and rain can be experienced. It's the slowest season for tourists - due to which you can get lucky and enjoy some off-season rates.
Konya's most popular event - the Mevlana Festival, is held in December each year. The dance of the Whirling Dervishes is a magical and enchanting ballet performance, a very spiritual and traditional custom that makes for a spectacular evening.
