When in Aveiro, you must pay a visit to the 1916 constructed Aveiro Train Station. The standout feature of this structure is its facade made of the azure colourful Azulejos tiles, which were created at the Fabrica da Fonte Nova and depict the old way of life in the region. Inside however, the terminal is a modern, state of the art station that is not to be missed. Old and new merge here seamlessly, and give you a glimpse of how long Portugal has come.
