Mt. Ama Dablam

Mt. Ama Dablam is also a peak encountered on the trek trail to Everest Base Camp. Its name means ‘Mother’s Necklace’ in the regional tongue, and has been given the moniker because of its peculiar structure. Khumjung

Khumjung is a village located within the Sagarmatha zone and is situated at a height of almost 4000 m near Mt. Khumbila. The village features all forms of modern communications and also a school that was established in 1961 by Sir Edmund Hillary’s Himalayan Trust.
