Tirupati has a tropical climate with hot summers and pleasant winters. As Tirupati – Tirumala is a very renowned pilgrim centre, the town does get crowded through the year. You could opt for a season that is cool for a visit and is less crowded too, so you could get to travel around easily and explore the town.
The most ideal time to visit Tirupati would probably be from June to October and from December to February, when weather is at its most ideal.
Summer (March - May)

Summer months are very hot and humid in Tirupati, although the temple town does get very crowded with the transit of pilgrims to the hills of Tirumala. According to TTD, more than 50,000 pilgrims queue up for darshan at Tirumala daily during the summer vacation months, despite the sweltering heat. Summer sizzles at a height of about 46 °C and apparently is not a very touristy time.
Monsoon (June - October)

The southwest monsoon showers are intermittently rainy, though they are a cool break from the heat waves of summer. Tirupati gets a lot of floating crowd for the annual Brahmotsavam festival held in September.
But the northeast monsoon rains of the east coast come down rather heavily on the coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh through October and December. There might be frequent disruption of normal life in regions round Tirupati. November to December is lean tourist periods, but if you do take a trip, keep a raincoat and an umbrella handy.
Winter (November - February)

November has heavy thundershowers, with a probable cyclonic storm thrown in, but that usually tapers off by December. The season turns cool and clear by now and the season turns great for a visit. There are so many places to visit in and around Tirupati and winter is the most suitable time for a hassle free trip. The temperature dips to about 15°C and you would do good to keep a sweater handy.
Winter is the perfect season to visit the waterfalls near Tirupati. Brimming with monsoon fed waters, the Falls are such beauties to behold.
