About 18km from Jatinga, the Samparidisa Eco-Tourism Village is known as one of the cleanest villages in Assam. A village in the lap of mother nature, Samparidisa is an excellent representation of sustainable eco-tourism in the district of Dima Hasao. A somewhat unexplored tourist attraction, the village houses a gorgeous string of three water cascades of which the Bendao Baglai Waterfalls is one of the highest and most beautiful waterfalls nestled amidst the lush greenery. The village is plastic-free.
Shiva Temple

Located about 110km from Jatinga, the popular Shiva Temple also known as the Bhubaneswar Temple sits atop the Bhuvan Hills and is renowned for being one of the most frequent tourist sites in the region. Pilgrims and devotees from all over the state come here to offer their reverence and the main shrine includes idols of Lord Shiva and his wife Goddess Parvati here. One of the oldest temples in Assam, the way to the shrine requires a bit of walking as it is located atop a hill that can only be reached via a dirt track. One of the busiest times to avoid visiting here is during Maha Shivratri, and it is best to visit the temple during winters when the environment is calm and serene.
Circuit House Viewpoint, Haflong

About 6km from town, the Haflong Circuit House is located atop a hill which gives a beautiful scenic view of the Dimsa Hills along with the old train route. Although the circuit house provides accommodation only for government officials, you can visit the spot in the evening for a glorious view or for a relaxing walk. The viewpoint is known to have one of the best views of Mother Nature in the whole of Assam.
The Orchid Gardens

Just a short distance away from Jatinga, are the Orchid Gardens in Haflong, which are quite a crowd puller. Brimming with blue hills, rivers and waterfalls pristine despite the increasing tourist traffic in the region, orchids like the Blue Vanda, Oranges and Pineapples are found here in abundance. With an excellent assortment of wild orchids, the gardens are also renowned for wild safaris and adventure activities. You can expect to enjoy sightings of Asiatic wild buffalos, wild boars, elephants etc as well.
Panimur Waterfalls

Located about 3 hours from Jatinga, the Panimur Waterfalls is a popular tourist attraction. The Panimur Waterfalls are rightfully Northeast India’s Niagra, owing to the glorious and captivating cascade of water that is breathtaking, with incredible scenic views of the villages surrounding the area, as well as trekking spots. Panimur being the only hill station of the district is frequented most during spring, autumn and early winter. Besides the waterfall, there’s also a picnic spot and a place of reverence - Haraulim Shibraikho for Lord Shiva’s devotees.
Maibang

Located in the Dima Hasao District, 43 km from Jatinga, the town of Maibang is placed in the hilly region of the River Mahur, brimming with mountains, waterfalls and a number of ancient relics. A must-visit, the tourist town was initially the capital city of the ancient Kachri Rulers from 1500-1700 and is usually popular for its two-ceiled gigantic temple Ramchandi. Further, there are a number of other writings on ancient tanks and historic temples with historic relevance, in addition there is the Mahur River, which is ideal for picnic and day outings.
Presbyterian Church of India

The Presbyterian Church of India near the Muolhoi Village in Haflong is the main church for the Dimas Tribe and one of the top ones also in the region. Located in a quaint village, the church is renowned for its glorious architecture that’s accentuated by its encompassing landscapes, a must visit for lovers of history, culture and architecture.
Borail Wildlife Sanctuary

If you’re a nature & wildlife enthusiast, then you’d love visiting the Borail Wildlife Sanctuary, which inhabits clouded leopards, varied bird species, the Himalayan black bear, pheasants and white-backed vultures. The sanctuary’s about 40km from Silchar. The River Jatinga passes through the sanctuary and is encompassed by the forest on both sides, spanning about 330 sq. km. and includes the Cachar Tropical.
