By Air:

The main airport that serves the city of Aligarh is Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. This airport is located 148 km from the center of Aligarh city and takes 3.5 hours approximately to reach. All major flight carriers transport passengers from different cities to Aligarh and vice versa. This is the most convenient way to travel.

 

By Road:

Aligarh city is well linked by road to other neighbouring cities by means of well maintained highways and expressways. You can choose to drive or even take a bus that is run by UPSRTC, if you are travelling inside the state. If you are coming from a different city, you can always take an overnight luxury bus that will take you comfortably to Aligarh.

 

By Rail:

Summers are the hottest months in Aligarh with temperatures ranging from 42°C in the morning and afternoons to 30°C in the night, making it a little more pleasant than the day time. These are the hottest months in the city and best avoided.

 

Monsoon (August October):

The weather becomes less brutal in the monsoon season and blesses the people of the city with cold showers. During the monsoon season, temperatures range from 28°C in the daytime to 24°C in the night, making it quite cool because of the winds. This is a great time to visit Aligarh.

 

Winter (November-March):

The climatic conditions in Aligarh are best from the months of November to March, which is the winter time. Temperatures in this season range from 15°C in the day to 10°C in the night, making it quite chilly. Some winters are brutal and the temperatures may drop down even further.
