Planning A Trip To Bhopal? Here are some guidelines on how to reach Bhopal
Bhopal, a city in the central part of India, is also the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Approximately 360 miles to the South of New Delhi, Bhopal has a population of around 1.5 million. Modern Bhopal was built on the original site of the 11th Century Bhojpal which was founded by Raja Bhoj. However, Bhopal thereafter almost disappeared in the 13th century on account of repeated plunder and pillage by the Sultanate of Delhi. The rebirth of Bhopal took place in the early 1700s when it was made the capital of Islamnagar by Dost Mohammed Khan who also constructed a fort in Bhopal. In 1818 the British made Bhopal a princely state.
