The fastest way of reaching Mathura is by flight. The airport that serves the people of this city and the ones coming from other cities in India is the Kheria Airport in Agra which is located at a distance of 61.5 km from the center of Mathura city. You can take a flight to the Indira Gandhi International Airport located further away at a distance of 170 km from the city of Mathura; this airport is more frequently used by passengers. Both the airports have major airlines that ply from there to other cities. Once you reach the either of the airports, you can take a cab or a bus to your destination in Mathura city.

Mathura is linked well to other cities in Uttar Pradesh as well as adjacent states. A network of highways and expressways make it easy for people who are driving or taking the bus to reach the holy city. Travelling by car will take you a day or two depending on the location you are starting to drive from. You can also take busses run by UPSRTC from other cities of Uttar Pradesh.
