Vrindavan is a small city in Uttar Pradesh and even though the region has a lot of religious significance, it does not have an airport of its own. The closest airport that serves the people of Vrindavan and the ones coming from other cities in India is the Kheria Airport, located in Agra. This airport is located at a distance of 69.4 km from the center of Vrindavan city; the ride from the airport to the city takes approximately two hours, depending on the traffic and peak season. You can also travel to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, located at a distance of 167 km from the center of Vrindavan city. This airport has international facility and has more major airlines servicing the area. Once you get off at either of the airports, you can take a bus or a taxi to go to your destination in Vrindavan.

Vrindavan is an easy place to reach from different cities in India. The easiest way to get to the city is through Mathura, which is 10 km away. Other than that you can use several highways and expressways that lead you to Vrindavan through Mathura from various cities like Aligarh, Agra, Delhi and other cities from Uttar Pradesh. Roadways are made from Rajasthan and Ghaziabad as well that leads to Vrindavan. If you don’t want to drive, you can always take the bus, which makes it easier and cheaper. You can take any bus run by UPSRTC if you are travelling from inside the state or you can also avail luxury busses from big cities like Delhi to reach Mathura and from there you can take a cab to Vrindavan.

The closest railway station that will take you to the city of Vrindavan is in Mathura, known as Mathura Junction Railway station and it is located at a distance of 11.4 km from the center of the city. There are passenger local trains that run from Mathura to Vrindavan, making it easy to travel to the city once you’ve reached Mathura. There are no long distance trains plying from Vrindavan station and thus one must take a train to Mathura and then take another local train to Vrindavan. Depending on where you want to get off, you can either take a cab or a bus from Mathura Junction Railway Station or Vrindavan Railway station.

Since Vrindavan is a city that is of utmost religious significance, a lot of people visit the city for taking a pilgrimage; hence, getting around in Vrindavan is fairly easy. There are plenty of auto rickshaws and taxis that will comfortably take you sightseeing and wherever else you want to go. Busses run by the state are also available which is cheaper on the pockets and comfortable to an extent.
