The city of Meerut does not have an airport of its own, but due to its proximity to Delhi, the Indira Gandhi International Airport is the closest airport to the city. The airport is distanced at 88 km from the center of Meerut city; flight carriers like Indigo, Spice Jet, Go Air, Air India and a few others transport passengers from one city to another within the country. Since this is an international airport, there are flights that take passengers to and fro to different countries in the world as well, making it so very easy for people to travel to Meerut. Once you get off at the airport, you can take local transportation like a cab or a bus to reach your destination in Meerut which should take you about 2 hours on the NH 24.

The city of Meerut has four railheads namely Meerut Cantonment distanced at 3.9 km, Meerut City Junction distanced at 3.6 km, Partapur Railway Station distanced at 9.5 km and Pabli Khas distanced at 10 km respectively from the center of Meerut city; you can go to any of the four railway stations to reach your destination. Several trains like the Ujjaini Express, Shalimar Express, Delhi Ambala Passenger, Haridwar Mail and many more pass through the above stations in Meerut, hence making it very easy for travelers. Once you get off at the station, you can take any mode of local transportation to get to your destination in the city.
