Muzaffarpur boasts of a good network of buses that ply within the city. There is a city ring bus service that is run by the Regional Transport Authority. This service has mini buses that run on five different routes within the city perimeter. This bus service is both convenient and cheap. However, there are auto rickshaws that are generally available as well. The city is not very large and it should be possible to walk to the more important places to visit.
