Nellore doesn't have its own dedicated airport. So you will have to fly to the nearest airport. From your city (if it has an airport) you can fly till Tirupati Airport which is 130 km away from Nellore. However, due to the low frequency of flights from Tirupati Airport, it is better to reach the next nearest airport which is in Chennai. It's an international airport and therefore has excellent connectivity with all major cities in and outside of India. Chennai International Airport is 200 km away from Nellore. Once you get down here, hire a private cab or a bus and reach your destination hotel in the city. Check online for airfare and availability of flights. Happy flying!

Nellore belongs to the category of one of the most developed cities in Andhra Pradesh. So the local transport is pretty advanced and it's easier to travel to your places of interest from your hotel. You can make use of local buses managed by the municipal corporation. However, it is suggested to avoid using buses during peak office hours as it is obvious that you will find buses very crowded. Another option is to avail of the local auto-rickshaw service. They are available almost 24*7. But fix the price before you get into one of those. Tourists generally prefer booking a private cab for a day or two and enjoy visiting all places of interest without worrying about transportation. Again, it is suggested to bargain to strike a good deal as they generally demand more. So choose your options wisely.
