How To Reach Nha Trang
Planning A Trip To Nha Trang? Here are some guidelines on how to reach Nha Trang
Nha Trang is famously called the Riviera of the South China Sea due to its gorgeous white sand beaches, exquisite coastline and blue waters that draw thousands of visitors all year round. This coastal town offers a handful of exciting activities and tourist spots to visit. It is equally well-connected by road, railway and air. However, the best and easiest way to reach Nha Trang, especially for international tourists is by flying out to Cam Ranh Airport nearby. The next best option is to take the overnight train, available from any of the neighbouring cities. However, the journey time can make it quite tedious.
Travel by road is the most affordable but can be quite uncomfortable due to long distances. Getting around locally is also very easy owning to the numerous public and private transportation services available.

Having no airport of its own visitors are required to first fly out to either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. There are approximately 4 daily flights from Ho Chi Minh City (1 hour long) and 3 from Hanoi (1.5 hours long). The airport closest to Nha Trang is Cam Ranh Airport, about 37 km away. This is the best and easiest way to reach for majority of international visitors and is highly recommended due to the shortened travel time. From India, airlines like Bangkok Airways and Air India can help visitors get to Vietnam. Additionally, Indian tourists can get a visa on arrival.

There are multiple daily bus services available from neighbouring cities like Ho Chi Minh (9 hours away), Dalat (4 hours away) to get to Nha Trang. These are highly affordable as compared to catching a flight and the conditions of the busses are quite clean and presentable. However, the journey by bus is also more time consuming due to unforseen delays based on weather conditions or roadwork. All in all, this is a decent option for visitors travelling on a tight budget and with no time constraint.

Another one of the popular options to reach Nha Trang is to travel via the overnight trains to get to Nha Trang Railway Station, approximately 2 km away from the main city centre. The journey by train although long, is more relaxed and is favoured by most visitors as opposed to taking a bus. Trains are available from the neighbouring cities of Ho Chi Minh and Danang and can take anywhere between 12 to 20 hours to reach Nha Trang. The train journey also offers stunning views of the countryside. This is definitely one of the best ways to reach.
