The season of spring is one of the best times to visit the island of Sicily. March is still a little chilly as the region reels and recuperates from the remnants of winter. With the onset of summer in June, temperatures rise and one can indulge in various activities during this season; climbing mountains being one of them. The Scirocco winds that blow through this region of Italy can make the place very hot, especially near the coast. Summers are a great time for peaches and watermelon and you can find vendors selling it at every corner in the markets. With autumn being the next season in line, temperatures lower down and range from 26°C (79°F) to 18°C (64°F), accompanied by cool winds. Autumns in Sicily are rainy and the region gets the most amount of rainfall during these months. With rainfall and the perfectly cool climate, this is another great time to visit due to the favourable temperature. Colours during this season are absolutely mesmerizing; vineyards start to harvest and vibrant leaves of trees fall out, giving the region a crimson-orange look.

Winters in Sicily are pretty moderate and the temperatures are quite agreeable. Though the hours of sunlight that the region sees are reduced, the climate is quite pleasant and is also a good time to visit if you like the cold weather. Temperatures during the winter season range from 14°C (57°F) to 8°C (46.4°F) and sometimes lesser as well, depending on the intensity of the winter and the city you are in.
