The Old Town area in Rhodes is a very popular tourist destination and you cannot miss it while visiting Rhodes. But you can definitely have a unique experience from others if you do a tour on a Segway! It's a fun and cool new way to see the town. Many tour operators conduct this tour in about 1 hour and you can see places such as Mandraki harbour, Ippokratous Square, Grand Master Palace, Site of where the Colossus stood, Street of the Knights and more.

Located in Kallithea, about 9 km away from the city centre, this hidden gem is the perfect place to spend your day relaxing and enjoying the unique combination of Nature, History and Architecture! While the complex was built only in 1928 by the Italians, Kallithea Springs's therapeutic properties were known since the times of Ancient Greece. The temperature of the water is a pleasant 19 °C and the complex was recently renovated.

Prasonisi beach is a popular beach for windsurfing and kiteboarding especially since it is located at the tip of the island and has a unique coastline with the Aegean Sea on one side and the Mediterranean Sea on the other. Most of the popular beaches all over Rhodes offer a range of watersports activities like Diving, Snorkeling, Paddle Board, Jet Ski, Parasailing etc. 

Profitis Ilias is one of the highest mountains on the island of Rhodes, so you can just imagine the incredible view from up there! The mountain is full of pine trees and wild-flowers. There is also the monastery of Prophet Elias sitting pretty atop the mountain. If you are lucky, you may also see a carpet of fog hugging the forest below. The sunset from here is also pretty incredible. You can hike up the mountain or take a car up top.

Embonas is a small village in Rhodes located around 60 km from the city centre. It is popular for its many vineyards and great wine. You can do a winery tour or a wine tasting here in a traditional house and make it a personal and local experience. You will also find good Olive Oil and Honey here, which you can make part of your tasting tour.

Full-day boat excursions are one of the best activities to do on any island and Rhodes is no different. There are other smaller, uninhabited islands nearby which can be explored like the Dodecanese islands of Halki and Chalki. The island of Halki takes a little over 1 hour to reach from Rhodes and is a totally un-spoilt land of beauty. The island is also known as the Island of Peace & Friendship.

Another trip you can do is to Symi island which has a pretty little Venetian village and also the St. Michael Panormitis monastery that tourists can visit. You may also get to spot some dolphins while on your cruise.

If you're not one to sleep early, you can spend your nights at a local club or bar and enjoy good music, local alcohol and terrific ambience. Within Rhodes Town, there is a street called Orfanidi Co which is famous as a Bar Street and is usually buzzing through the night. Some of the popular ones are Paradiso Beach Club, Colorado Club, Todo Bien, Sticky Fingers and Blue Lagoon.

Outside of Rhodes Town, you may also find some clubs & bars in the tourist areas of Lindos, Kalithea, Malona and Afandou.

One of the earliest parks probably in the world, it is an ideal place to have a family day out. You will find many wild peacocks who live and breed here. There is a nice pathway along a stream which is a lovely place to just find yourself or have a romantic stroll. Plenty of flora and fauna will distract you along the way. The tomb of the Ptolemies can also be found here within 10 minutes walking distance which dates back to 2nd century BCE.
