Mykonos is known as a party island and there are wild parties during the summer. They have parties that last all day and all night with great DJs and awesome cocktails. It can get very crowded very quickly so caution is adviced. Some of the best beach clubs are located in Paradise Beach, Paraga Beach, Psarou Beach and Ornos Bay. If you want to witness the parties in peak season, the best time to visit is between July and September. By October things start fizzle out.

The streets of Mykonos Town are quite picture perfect. The entire town of Chora (Mykonos Town) is only for pedestrians and so walking is the best and only way to explore it. The narrow streets are lined with retail outlets on both sides from where you can pick up some great souvenirs. Mykonos is known to be more expensive than other parts of Greece though. Delos is an uninhabited island near Mykonos, which was once an important religious & trading centre. The Greeks believe it was the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, the mythological Greek Gods. The island isn't all that big and can be explored easily on foot. There are different trails that you can choose to take, depending on what you want to see and how much you want to hike. You can find many temple ruins, homes, markets and also a stadium and theatre. The most popular artefact found here is the Naxian Lions. The original statues can be found in the museum located on the Island itself.

The old port of Mykonos is located in Mykonos Town. It's a beautiful place where you can just sit and look out into the sea and watch the docked ships. In the evenings the sun sets over the town and its a pretty sight. Just next to it is the waterfront which has some lovely restaurants, also offering great views of the sea. Stop by the Gelato shop or pick up some souvenirs by the gift shops all along the promenade. Just relax, feed the birds and enjoy the breeze.

Riding a bike around the island is an interesting and offbeat way to explore Mykonos. Visit hidden gems that aren't usually on the tourist route.
