It is a hill resort at a distance of 56 km from Roing. It is one of the major attractions in Roing. It is enclosed by lush green forests, lofty hills and the snow clad Himalayas at a distance. It is a place you should not miss during winters when it is covered in snow. It is at a distance of 14 km from Roing, in the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary. One unique feature of this lake is it does not have any fish in the lake. It is in the middle of the dense green forest with exquisite flowers and plants. The lake covers an area of 4 km and houses ducks in great number. Boating facility is available in this lake. You can also go trekking in the surrounding forest to experience the serene atmosphere, which is quite alluring.

Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary

This Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary is on the banks of river Deopani. It is 283 sq km of dense forests, which house many endangered animals and plants. It is quite famous for its beautiful, colourful, flora. It is home to many wild animals like the tigers, panthers, red pandas, blue napped Pita, King Cobra, Pit Vipers and many more. People call it as 'Real Ocean of green paradise on earth' because of the amount of flora found here. It is an untouched and unexplored Sanctuary. Nearby Deopani park, Zoo, Butterfly reserve are very good places you should not miss. You can also go camping, but you should carry all the gear necessary because nothing is available locally. It has some of the most beautiful lakes including Mehao Lake, which is a favourite tourist destination.

Bhismaknagar Fort

It is one of the oldest archaeological sites in Arunachal Pradesh. It is believed to belong to the 8th century. It is 30 km from Roing. Bhismaknagar Fort is the oldest fort found here. It covers an area of 1861 sq m of land and comes with six entrances, three halls,  and two extension rooms. The wall that protects the fort is made of mud, stone and burnt bricks. The north side is naturally protected by hills. Various artefacts like pottery, terracotta figurines, terracotta plaques and decorative tiles with floral and animal designs were found during excavation. 

Nijomaghat

This place has its own story and a character to it. Apart from that, this place is known for its scenic beauty with gigantic mountains and rocky landscape. The appealing part of this place is the river that cuts through and passes by. Amazing figures are formed on the rocks due to the strong gush of the river. You can have a wonderful view of the entire mountain range from Nijomaghat, which is amazing. It is a wonderful picnic spot situated at a distance of 15 km from Roing. It is also called as Nizamghat as it has been named in the memory of the British political officer J. F. Needham.
