The nearest airport to Sangla is the Jubbarhatti Airport in Shimla, which is located at a distance of 194 km. The Bhuntar Airport located in between Chandigarh and Manali is the second closest airport to Sangla and is almost a four hour journey up to the hills. Although these airports are the closest ones, they are not frequented by many flights. Since Sangla is located in a remote area, there aren’t many modes of transportation that serve the area, due to its narrow uphill roads. The local bus network is managed by the Himachal Road Transport Corporation. They provide visitors with bus services to go to nearby towns to explore and sightsee. You can also hire shared cabs for the purpose of moving around in Sangla or simply ask someone at the hotel to arrange for a rental car for the day.  But if you are a little more adventurous, wherever you can, explore this beautiful valley town on foot to get a real feel of the place.
