Maheshwar in MP is located on the north bank of Narmada River and 91 km from Indore about 13 km to the east of NH3. The popularity of Maheshwar is on two counts - pilgrimage and tourism. It is a centre of weaving with the use of handloom since the fifth century. It is from here that ladies get the pretty Maheshwari saris and the fabric of the same name.
