Chamba is packed in the lap of nature, amidst the hills, due to which there is no connectivity via airways. Since Chamba does not have its own airport, one can take flights to adjacent cities and states and drive up to this beautiful town. The closest airport is the Gaggal Airport also known as Kaggar Airport in Dharamshala, which is 124 km from Chamba and is connected to all the major cities like Delhi, Kullu and Chandigarh. Some of the most prominent airlines of the country like Indigo, Air India, Spice Jet etc., ply to Gaggal Airport from adjacent cities. After you get to the airport, you can hire a cab to take you to the scenic town of Chamba.

Take a road trip to Chamba, which is well connected to major parts of Himachal Pradesh and to bordering towns and cities as well, offering magnificent sceneries all along. Due to its location, Chamba does not have a railway station of its own in the region. Pathankot Railway Station is the closest railway station to Chamba and is located at a distance of 103 km. Once you arrive at the Pathankot station, you can hire a cab or even take a bus to get to Chamba. Trains from Delhi, Udhampur, Jammu, Amritsar, Hatia, Mumbai, Bhatinda and Kolkata go back and forth between the two stations. The train is an enjoyable journey and apt for families and friends going on a vacation. You can also take a train to either New Delhi or Chandigarh and travel by bus from there to Chamba.

Since Chamba is a tourist town, finding conveyance to move around is not a problem. Cabs are available to take you around, if you want to go see different attractions in this lovely little town.
