The real monsoon in Phuket Town starts in mid-May, carrying on till October. The average temperature is around 28 degree Celsius. The highly humid weather results in a steep drop in rates and makes this the cheapest season for travellers. This time is also virtually tourist free and gives you a lot of peace and calm to explore. May, September and October are highly wet months.

November is the onset of a cooler season on the island. But there is really no winter in Phuket. With average temperatures around 24-32 degree Celsius, the humidity is at its lowest. This season makes for the perfect time to lounge on beaches, go snorkeling and absorb the best that the island has to offer.
